2025 Postal Promotions

As mailers plan their 2025 budgets, one of the first things that comes to mind is the rising cost of postage. With two postage increases planned for next year, it’s more important than ever to utilize promotions to keep these costs down while maintaining a quality mail piece. Promotions aim to help mailers’ budgets while encouraging creative direct mail approaches. Let’s explore the 2025 promotions and discover how you can save money while leveraging new ideas to optimize your mailing experience:

Integrated Technology

  • 3% discount
  • Incorporate technologies such as Augmented, Mixed or Virtual Reality, NFC, Video in Print, voice assistants and more.
  • Select your start date for a maximum of 6 consecutive months in CY 2025.
  • Eligible mail: First-Class Mail letters, cards & flats, USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats, Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats.

Tactile, Sensory, Interactive

  • 4% discount
  • Innovate your mail piece through paper and stock, substrates, inks, interactive elements and finishes. Gloss stocks are no longer eligible for this promotion.
  • Promotion runs February 1 – July 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats, Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats, First-Class Mail letters, cards & flats.

Continuous Contact

  • 3% discount
  • Mail more frequently to the same address with iterative or complementary content. Mail piece may not be duplicative. First and subsequent mailings must occur during the promotion period, and the discount will apply to each subsequent mailing.
  • Promotion runs April 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats and Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats.

Reply Mail IMbA

  • 3% discount with a static barcode or 6% with a serialized barcode
  • Streamline your Qualified Business Reply Mail (QBRM) pieces with Intelligent Mail Barcode Accounting (IMbA).
  • Cannot be combined with Add-Ons.
  • Promotion runs July 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: QBRM letters & cards.

First-Class Mail Advertising

  • 3% discount
  • Send your marketing messages using First-Class mail pieces.
  • Promotion runs September 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: First-Class Mail letters, cards & flats.

Add Ons

Increase the promotion discount percentage by 1% each with the following add-ons:

Informed Delivery

  • Back from 2024 but no longer a stand-alone promotion.
  • Integrate colorful and interactive campaign elements through Informed Delivery.
  • Promotion runs January 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: First-Class Mail automation letters, postcards & flats, USPS Marketing Mail automation letters & flats, USPS Marketing Mail DDU-entered Carrier Route Saturation flats, Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail automation letters & flats, and Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail DDU-entered Carrier Route Saturation flats.

Sustainability

  • Mail using paper from certifiable, responsible sources.
  • Promotion runs January 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Eligible mail: First-Class Mail letters, cards & flats, USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats and Nonprofit USPS Marketing Mail letters & flats.

Add-ons cannot be claimed alone but can be used together on eligible mail pieces for a total of an additional 2% on active promotions. Add-ons may be added to the following promotions: Integrated Technology (3%), Tactile, Sensory, Interactive (4%), Continuous Contact (3%) or First-Class Mail Advertising (3%). Add-ons may not be added to the Reply Mail IMbA promotion. While a promotion can be paired with one or both add-ons, a promotion cannot be paired with another promotion.

To participate in the USPS mailing promotions, electronic samples must be submitted for pre-approval. All samples must be submitted via the Mailing Promotions Portal (MPP) on the Business Customer Gateway (BCG).
